Without advertising, backyard breeders and puppy mills can’t profit or survive.
Proposed “pet’s for sale” advertising tax requires a paid tax with thorough registration prior to any website or publication accepting a “pet for sale” ad.
With substantial fines and penalties for accepting untaxed and unregistered ads compliance is certain.
Registration requires full disclosure, identification, source and location of animals for sale.
In addition: registration requires granting full permission for inspections by animal control, zoning or law enforcement.
Why would any backyard breeder or scammer comply?
The answer is they wouldn’t! That’s OK!
With no tax and registration, there are no ads.
No ads = no sales.
No sales = no profits.
