You’re against backyard breeders, right?
Guess what? Craigslist doesn’t care!
Neither does Facebook, YouTube, puppies.com, Puppyfinder.com, akc marketplace, california puppies for sale or hundreds of other sites.
Using the search term “puppies” we found over one million classified ads in a single day.
With millions of backyard breeder ads annually, think this impacts shelter and rescue overcrowding?
Taxbreeders.com proposes a law to require a sales tax number and detailed registration to advertise any pet for sale.
Advertising registration would require photo ID, physical location, puppy place of birth and other abuse and fraud prevention data.
Backyard Breeders are notorious scofflaws.
The bottom line: they aren’t expected to comply.
That’s OK!
This proposed law prevents the ACCEPTANCE of ads offering animals for sale in any form, prior to completing a verifiable, detailed registration and holding a corresponding sales tax number.
It is critically important to believe that law abiding publications and websites will comply.
NO SALES TAX NUMBER & REGISTRATION equals NO PERMIT,
NO PERMIT equals NO ADS,
NO ADS equals NO SALES AND NO PROFITS:
Eliminating millions of “pets for sale” ads means animal shelters and rescues will become much closer to bringing overpopulation under control.
